Drawer fronts should conform to the style of door you use. Slab fronts naturally go with slab doors; flat solid-wood slab fronts are appropriate for simple flat-panel door styles, raised solid-wood drawer fronts are appropriate for raised-panel door styles.
There's no such thing as a cathedral or tombstone style drawer front. Wood drawer fronts can be simple flat slab or have a profile milled into the edges. The extra thickness of a drawer front lends a more substantial look, and it also provides more wood to fasten into when the front is attached to the drawer and screws are driven into the back side.
Drawer front will be aesthetically representative of associated kitchen cabinet door style. (There may be some slight variations depending on style of door.) Our 5 piece drawer front is made out of two stiles, two rails, and a panel just like a door. The stiles and rails are smaller in width than the cabinet doors to accomidate the small sizes of the drawer fronts.
There are six different routes included in our routed fronts. Routed Drawer Fronts over 2 SqFt are not guaranteed. A slab drawer front is a solid piece of wood that has an outside edge profile on it. |
